MEET MARK

MarkHillMar2022-3.jpg

As a resident of Frisco for almost 20 years, this community is home to my family, my business, my church, and my volunteer activities.

I live in Frisco with my wife and daughter, and work in Frisco as a Partner with the business law firm of Scheef & Stone. Scheef & Stone is located in Hall Park and has called Frisco home for decades. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, I am the son of a teacher, and product of public schools my entire life.

Community is important to me, as is service.

For the past 6 years, I served on the Board of the Frisco Education Foundation ("FEF") helping others who are passionate about our Frisco education community to award hundreds of Grants to Frisco ISD educators and thousands of Scholarships to Frisco ISD students. My years of service on the FEF also provided me an opportunity to see and experience almost all of our 75 campuses in FISD, meet countless FISD teachers and educators, and learn about FISD administration at virtually all of its levels.  During my time with the Frisco Education Foundation, I also Chaired the Gary Burns 5K - a wonderful event bringing thousands of community members together to support local education.

I am also a proud graduate of Leadership Frisco, Class 22.  Leadership Frisco is a terrific, immersive program presented annually by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and local business and community leaders.

The Collin County Bar Association has also been a significant part of my volunteer activities.  The Collin County Bar Association is the largest organization serving attorneys and Judges in our area.  I served on the Board of the Collin County Bar Association for numerous years, and held the office of its President in 2017.  Since that time, I have also Chaired the Collin County Bar Association's Trial Academy, an innovative program that builds relationships in the legal community and trains new and young attorneys practicing in our area.
